Session 4: Global Solutions for a Sustainable Future
This session explores the role of women’s empowerment in facilitating development and easing environmental pressures made worse by climate change. We will investigate the ways in which the status of women affects both sustainability and state stability within a society, especially within the contexts of reproductive health, family planning, and education. This concluding session will position women’s reproductive rights—in particular universal access to voluntary family planning—as necessary predecessors for advancing human rights, promoting sustainable development, alleviating poverty, and increasing climate resilience and adaptation worldwide.
